What's Down With The Brown?

What's Down With the Brown?

The Brownbag
has recently been assigned an International Standard Serial Number (ISSN), meaning we have ‘gone legit’ in the magazine business. Since we are officially recognized by the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., library catalogs around the world now include the publication record of The Brownbag, and a link to our content.

Made in India? will be featured in the public access cable show DCTV Presents. DCTV's 24 HOUR FILM FESTIVAL was MII's film festival debut in 2006 and Brownscape would like to thank DCTV for considering the film. "DCTV PRESENTS" airs bi-weekly on channel 34 in Manhattan through Time Warner Cable. It is a free, commercial-free service in collaboration with Manhattan Neighborhood Network and reaches over 500,000 viewers.

Made in India? is on sale a hi and low resolution download through B-Side.com. B-side.com is an independent distributor dedicated to helping filmmakers find their own audience. Through B-side we are able to sell DVDs and DRM-free downloads, for $2.99 and $7.99. Through B-Side’s partners we are hopeful of distributing to TV, VOD, online and offline retail. We are excited to maximize the possibilities of new media to disseminate our content.

Browntown star Karthik Srinivasan recently wrote and directed a short film, The Anniversary, which has been selected for the competitive section of the PFCOne film festival. Cinematography and editing by Deepti Paul. Credit music by Mery Diaz's The Kiddos!
